Watch the new 'We are RME'

To celebrate RME's upcoming 40th anniversary, we are delighted to release a new 'We are RME' film. Featuring our team members and local suppliers, the film shines a light on the characteristics, achievements and aspiration that makes RME the world's trusted OEM of grinding mill relining systems.

40 YEARS OF INNOVATION | WE ARE RME

Metals and minerals are essential for a net-zero future, but how they are produced matters just as much. There is much work ahead of the mining industry in that respect. RME is committed to being part of the solution.

Adam Orlando, Editor-in-Chief of Mining.com.au, recently posed this critical question. As part of his investigation, he reached out to RME Director, Cherylyn Russell, to understand some of the ways our company strives to improve the sustainability of mineral production.

“We not only promote it, our products and services are purposefully designed to deliver the environmental and financial benefits of the circular economy,” Russell tells this news service.
While we are at the beginning of our ESG journey, RME “takes pride in manufacturing high-quality, durable grinding mill relining equipment” that has a longer service life (up to 20 plus years) significantly exceeding other OEMs’ liner exchange technologies.

“By producing longer-lasting equipment and offering highly-informed services for maintaining asset integrity, RME reduces the frequency of equipment replacements, thereby decreasing the resources and energy required for manufacturing new machines,” Russell explains.

“By refurbishing components at the end of their initial service life to like-new condition, RME contributes to waste reduction, minimising the demand for raw materials and energy inputs associated with the production and transportation of new machines.”

RME also offers a customised asset disposal service which prioritises the use of sustainable disposal methods, including recycling, repurposing or responsible waste management, to reduce environmental impacts.

Moreover, it also offers alternative sharing economy models including rental and product-as-a-service models, which embed and promote sustainability into how business can be conducted, Russell says.
